Overview:
The International Nurses Day is celebrated around the world on the May 12th of every year; it is the anniversary of Florence Nightingale's birth, the pioneer of modern nursing. The year 2021 was designated as the International Year of Health and Care Workers, in recognition of the performance of these professionals in facing the COVID-19 pandemic, and in an attempt to shed light on the contributions of nurses in the society.
Objectives:
- Envision the future of nursing and the ways it will change the vision and perception of health care.
- Engage all relevant stakeholders in the dialogue on health care workers’ rights.
- Discuss the need for protecting nurses and investing in them.
