Facts:
Kidneys are amazingly complex organs that perform many essential tasks to keep us healthy.
The main function of your kidneys is to remove toxins and extra water from your blood, and they also help control your blood pressure, produce red blood cells, and keep your bones healthy.
Kidneys are of the size of your fist, located deep in the abdomen, below the rib cage.
Kidneys control blood flow levels of many minerals and molecules including sodium and potassium, and help control acidity of the blood.
Every day, kidneys carefully control salt and water in your body so that blood pressure stays the same.
