Health Days 2024

Overview:
May 12th is a global celebration of nursing, marking the birth anniversary of modern nursing pioneer Florence Nightingale. This day recognizes the many contributions that nurses and nursing staff make to the community.

Objectives:

• Enhancing the importance of the nurse’s role in achieving comprehensive health care.
• Raising awareness about the correct role of the nurse.
• Exerting efforts to understand and envision the future of nursing.

Facts:
The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that 9 million nurses and midwives are needed for comprehensive health coverage by 2023.
