Annual Misk Fellowship Competition on Sustainable Development Goals

​​​Using Health Data to Generate Solutions about the 3rd Sustainable Development Goals (SDG3) Related to Good Health and Well-being.​

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is striving to achieve well-being and raise the quality of life standards for citizens and residents. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are among the most important methodologies that measure countries’ progress in achieving well-being and development through comprehensive indicators of various social, health, and economic aspects.

The data provided by the Ministry of Health (MOH) along with other government agencies have a significant impact on motivating the contestants in the annual Misk Fellowship competition on the challenges of the SDGs to achieve innovative and qualitative solutions. The competition has produced 17 initiatives, including digital solutions for health challenges such as the disparities in quality of healthcare, the health of the elderly, and the prevalence of chronic diseases, the health of the elderly, and the prevalence of chronic diseases. The solutions aim to use cloud platforms to analyze, address and then display and predict the health problems before they occur. It is to be noted that the annual Misk fellowship competition was held in October 2020.
