According to Najran Health Affairs, over the first half of the current year (2018), the Home Medicine Program conducted 9,258 home visits by 10 medical teams, who provided their therapeutic services to 781 patients recorded in the Program.
The Affairs stated: “The patients have been handed out 126 basic devices, featuring medical beds, air mattresses, wheelchairs, fixed shower chairs, blood pressure monitors, blood glucose meters, mobility aids, mucus suction pumps, oxygen concentrators and oxygen analyzers”.
"The home medicine departments of King Khalid Hospital, Najran General Hospital, Habona General Hospital, Sharourah General Hospital, Al-Amal Hospital for Mental Health, and Maternity and Children Hospital have been enhanced with highly qualified medical and nursing staff, special vehicles for medical staff’s transportation, in addition to several training programs to hone the skills of home treatment teams and to provide them with the latest home care; in an endeavor to provide patients with the high-quality health services", added the Affairs.
It is noted that 70,757 patients have been enrolled in the Program since its launch in Najran.
