King Abdullah Medical City-Makkah (KAMC), in partnership with Primary Health Care Charitable Society (Derhum Weqaya), has launched an initiative under the title: «Patient Companion», to qualify a number of specialized volunteers (fe/male) from the Society by some distinguishing medical cadres from KAMC to assume their tasks to the fullest in accompanying patients (in need for that) for 5 hours daily. The first phase of this initiative will continue for six months, through making the necessary arrangements and coordination to ensure that the service will be provided in the required manner, according to all medical and administrative laws, regulations and procedures. This initiative is to be applied more widely within the medical city, thus setting a good example for other health facilities, within the framework of improving the patient experience and raising the service quality.
On the other hand, the official account of e-services provided by the Ministry of Finance (MOF) to government bodies underlined that the Ministry of Health (MOH) is the first government body to implement and fully benefit from all e-services on «Itimad» Portal. This portal provides e-services through five departments (Budget, Tender and Procurement, Contract and Approval, Payment, and Staff Financial Rights).
