Sakaka: Successful Excision of Hemorrhagic Kidney Cyst from a Patient

​By Allah's Grace, a medical team at Prince Mutaib bin Abdulaziz Hospital- Sakaka, has successfully excised a hemorrhagic cyst form a patient's left kidney. Through a laparoscopic procedure, the team managed to maintain his kidney. On the same day, the patient was discharged from the hospital in a good health.

According to Najran Health Affairs, the surgery is one of the quality surgeries recently conducted in the region as part of a series of surgeries for the first time in the region's hospitals.

It is noted that Prince Mutaib bin Abdulaziz Hospital (with a 300-bed  capacity) is the reference hospital for Al-Jouf. Last month, the hospital conducted 206 surgeries, including 148 one-day surgeries.

It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Health (MOH) has launched a daily specialization-based e-waiting list for surgical operations on its online portal. The list features MOH hospitals, along with surgical specialties and corresponding waiting days respectively, in addition to five levels for waiting days, starting from one to 180 days. By launching this initiative, MOH aims to update all patients and beneficiaries of services provided by its health facilities on the developmental efforts for boosting performance levels and providing high-quality services to satisfy and meet the health needs of citizens.​
