Over the past year (1438H.), the General Medical Authority of Jeddah Health Affairs has issued 22,117 referrals, and conducted 2,259 transactions. The authority provides many services to citizens, studies their medical conditions to decide which cases are in need of advanced medical centers, and coordinates with health service providers inside the Kingdom, or in coordination with the Supreme Medical Authority in Riyadh to provide treatment abroad.
After issuing the decision to treat the case inside or outside the Kingdom, the Authority issues airline tickets (about 200 tickets daily) for patients and their companions based on the decision.
