A medical team at the Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz bin Musa'ed Cardiac Center in Arar, led by Consultant Dr. Nahar Al-Enezi, managed to install a filter in the inferior vena cava of a female patient suffering from chest pain, respiratory problems, and previous pulmonary embolism. The procedure prevents clots from sneaking in the lung, repeatedly. Thanks to Allah, the one-hour surgery has been successful and the patient is in a stable condition.
It should be noted that the surgery is the first of its type in the center.
