MOH Signs a Cooperation Agreement with the Charitable Society for Autism Families

In the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, the Ministry of Health (MOH), represented by the National Program for Growth and Behavior Disorders, has signed a cooperation agreement with the Charitable Society for Autism Families.
 
The agreement was signed by the Deputy Minister for Curative Services, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Hemaidi, representing the Ministry of Health, and the Chairman of the Charitable Society for Autism Families, Her Royal Highness Princess Samira bint Abdullah Al-Faisal Al Saud.
 
It is worth mentioning that the terms of the agreement focused on the provision of the MOH support to the activities and programs carried out by the Charitable Society for Autism Families, in accordance with the available expertise and resources, and exchanging the mutual counseling according to the available experiences to both parties, as well as cooperating with the Charitable Society to establish a number of training courses and workshops, in concordance with its plan.
 
Within the same vein, Dr. Al-Rabeeah has met with a number of autistic children’s families, and listened to their demands and comments on the health care provided to their autistic children all over the Kingdom’s regions.
 
Dr. Al-Rabeeah underscored that all those remarks will be taken carefully and seriously into consideration, pointing out that 20 clinics are available to serve children, and facilitate getting appointments for them, aside from preparing cards to define their health condition for serving their own interests.
 
Furthermore, Dr. Al-Rabeeah has revealed that the Ministry is about to establish three autism centers, according to the gracious Royal directives, in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam, at a total cost of SR 900 million. Besides, he highlighted that these centers are planned to be for the behavior disorders and autism treatment with the latest science, given that some specialists will visit the latest global centers, in collaboration with the relevant authorities in the Kingdom; to get acquainted with their experiences in the architecture buildings.
 
Finally, Dr. Al-Rabeeah underlined that the phases of these centers are currently being planned, and underway is coordination with the regions for finding the suitable land.
