Kicking off the Actual Operation of the Mina Al-Jisr Hospital with a 150 Bed Capacity

Dr. Hassan Ahmed Al-Zahrani, the Director of the Mina Al-Jisr hospital, affirmed that the hospital, among the four hospitals located in Mina, has got into the actual operation stage and began providing its services for the sick Hajj performers as of Saturday, 12/10/2013, after having the hospital fully equipped. To that effect, the number of the workforce amounts to 500 employees ranging from medical and nursing cadres, to managerial ones.
In the meantime, he made clear that since the end of last year's Hajj season, the hospital started to prepare for the current Hajj season through several stages starting with the processes of maintaining devices, sections, and back-up generators; and cleaning and sterilizing reservoirs.
 
This was followed by the stage of receiving the heads of sections, to the effect that each head of section takes charge of the sectionthey manage in terms of arrangements and securing its needs; and distributing the workforce of the section.
 
And by the advent of Dhu al-Hijjah, the entire workforce are received and distributed, as well as work and hospital operation schedules.

He went on to point out that at the beginning, staff are identified with the hospital's sections and training workshops and simulated experiments are conducted within the hospital and outside; in order to assess the way of preparing and responding to emergency cases, with the aim of tackling any contingencies, Allah forbids.
 
As regards the new devices, he added that a digital X-ray printer was introduced in the hospital; whereas since last year, a central cooling device was provided in order to deal with heat stress and sunstroke cases, in addition to a number of modern medical equipment.

He remarked that the hospital is made up of emergency section, intensive care section, as well as internal sections such as internal medicine, surgery, and obedistrics sections; and two operating rooms
He draws attention to the fact that the hospital includes 150 beds ranging from intensive care and emergency beds to men's and women's inpatient beds, as well as outpatient clinics and bandage rooms. Also, within the hospital, there are five modern dialysis machines.

He unveiled that the hospital has arranged for convoys transporting the inpatient Hajj performers through which they are enabled to complete performing their Hajj rites in an easy, smooth way.

He concluded his speech with extending thanks to his Excellency the Minister of Health Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah and health officials in Makkah, and Hajj and Umrah Health Services Department for the efforts they exerted; in order to provide the most prestigious medical and preventive services for the Hajj performers.
