Health Facilities Conduct 11 Open-Heart, 232 Cardiac Catheterization Operations to the Hajj Performers

The hospitals and health centers of the Ministry of Health (MOH) in Makkah and Madinah kept providing its public and specialized services of the third and fourth levels for the Hajj performers.
 
The MOH's statistical statement showed that the hospitals and specialized centers in Makkah and Madinah conducted 11 open-heart operations to the sick Hajj performers, 232cardiac catheterization operations, 44 gastrointestinal endoscopy operations, as well as 737 dialysis sessions with its two types included: hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, from7/9 to 13/10/2013.
 
Further, the statistical statement underlined that 270,092 sick Hajj performers frequented the hospitals and health centers in the Holy Capital, Madinah, and the Holy Sites during this period.
 
That's to say, the hospitals provided their services for 39,323 Hajj performers, of which there are 25,443 patients treated through the outpatient clinics. On the other, 13.880 patients benefitted from the emergency and ambulance services.
 
Also, it underscored that 230,769 sick Hajj performers received the primary healthcare services in the health centers, the Holy Capital, Madinah, and the Holy Sites during the same period.
 
Within the same vein, the MOH's statistical statement revealed that 1,682 ill Hajj performers were detained in the various specialized sections of the MOH's hospitals located in the Hajj Holy Sites, of which 562 sick Hajj performers were discharged after having received the due treatment.
 
He went on to point out that the number of the inpatient Hajj performers detained in the MOH's hospitals in the Holy Capital, Madinah, and the Holy Sites till 13/10/2013 are 389 patients, who are receiving the necessary therapeutic services.
 
As regards the specialized services provided for the Hajj performers, the hospitals of the Ministry of Health (MOH) witnessed six birth cases of women came to perform the Hajj rites.
 
All the more, the MOH emphasized that the Hajj Performers' health situation is assuring, and there are no any epidemic or quarantine cases, may Allah be praised. And, so far, no Corona Virus case has been reported.
