Dr. Al-Rabeeah: “The (Paid) Congratulations Ads Should be Directed for the Benefit of the Patient and His Service”
19 December 2012
His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah said that the (paid) congratulations ads in the local newspapers - despite the high respect and appreciation to their owners and their noble feelings in participating the Ministry’s delight – are highly appreciated by the officials of the Ministry of Health (MOH). Nevertheless, Dr. Al-Rabeeah believes that the real and best congratulation of the owners of these institutions, within the framework of their social responsibility, is to dedicate and direct the funds of these ads to the charitable medical associations, patient healthcare associations and patient’s friends societies, aside from other formal societies that can benefit from this support and redirect it in favor of the patients. Thus, the public interest is achieved and the roles of the public and private sectors are integrated to serve the citizen.

In the same vein, Dr. Al-Rabeeah has expressed his wish that the funds of these specific congratulations to him personally or to MOH through newspapers ads are to be directed or dedicated, either directly or indirectly, for the benefit of the patient and his service.
Meanwhile, he expressed his appreciation for all who congratulate him or MOH, whether by attending to its premises or via mass media.

Furthermore, Dr. Al-Rabeeah pointed out that he greatly appreciates these sincere feelings of the Saudi medical sector and the excellence, development and progression it reached both in the level of qualifying the medical cadres or in the services and infrastructure of the medical facilities, in such a manner making the Kingdom the orientation of medical treatment from around the world.

He added, “The best way to congratulate me, from any of the companies associated with MOH’s projects contracts, is to achieve these projects on time and as planned.”

The Minister of Health stressed on the importance of the social role of the private sector leading to the public interest of serving the citizens, and focus on services, particularly the health ones.
