Saudi Health Minister Signs MoU with Moroccan Counterpart to Enhance Health Cooperation

Saudi Minister of Health Fahad Al-Jalajel has met with Moroccan Minister of Health and Social Protection Khalid Ait Taleb during his official visit to Rabat.The meeting was attended by Saudi Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco Dr. Sami bin Abdullah Alsaleh and an official delegation from the ministry.

During the meeting, the two ministers discussed cooperation between the two countries and efforts to enhance coordination in line with the wider Arab efforts to strengthen global health.
Following the meeting, Al-Jalajel and his Moroccan counterpart signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance health partnership between the two countries. The MoU aligns with the goals of health transformation, improving the quality of health services, and enhancing prevention against health risks.
The MoU aims to support and develop health services and exchange expertise, and it covers therapeutic and preventive medicine, digital health, and pandemic management.
In remarks to the media following the meeting, Al-Jalajel said that his visit to Morocco is part of the historical relations between the two brotherly countries within the framework of joint Arab action, adding that the MoU signed with his Moroccan counterpart fell within efforts of the ministries of health of the two kingdoms to strengthen our health cooperation, including the exchange of expertise and scientific research.
Accompanied by Ambassador Alsaleh and Assistant Deputy Minister of Health for International Collaboration Rakan Khalid bin Dohaish, Al-Jalajel visited several governmental and private institutions in Morocco, including the National Institute of Health and a Vaccine Manufacturing Plant, where he discussed cooperation opportunities in developing the health sector in both countries.
