Eastern Province Emir Launches Health Projects to Achieve Comprehensive Healthcare

His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, the Emir of the Eastern Province, in the presence of their Excellencies the Governor of Al-Ahsa, Prince Saud bin Talal bin Badr, the Deputy Minister of Health for Planning and Development, Engineer Abdulaziz bin Hamad Al-Rumaih, sponsored the inauguration of a number of health and development projects in Al-Ahsa Governorate, which included central laboratories and clinics, specialized healthcare and oncology centres, and expansion, as an extension of health projects aimed at achieving integrated and comprehensive healthcare.His Highness inaugurated the Hamad bin Abdul Latif Al Jabr Oncology Center, 4 healthcare Centers, and the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) projects in 11 hospitals and 62 healthcare Centers, while the new projects also included the groundbreaking for Al Rashid Hospital, the completion of the infrastructure for King Fahd Hospital.In addition, the clinics of Prince Saud bin Jalawi Hospital, the intensive care expansion project at the Prince Sultan Cardiac Center (PSCC) were inaugurated. The central laboratory for primary healthcare centers was also opened to provide laboratory services centrally to all health centers in Al-Ahsa, and two urgent care centers were launched as a support to the healthcare services which provide urgent medical care.The new and developed projects contribute to providing quality health services to patients in the nearby regions, governorates and villages, in a way that improves the health services provided, achieves standards of quality and efficiency, and provides job opportunities for medical personnel, leading to a vibrant society in accordance with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
