Today, Sunday, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, inaugurated Al-Salam Hospital in Al-Khobar, in the presence of His Excellency Deputy Minister of Health for Planning and Development, Eng. Abdulaziz Al-Rumaih. Upon his arrival at the ceremony, His Royal Highness was received by His Excellency Deputy Minister of Health and Director General of Health Affairs, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Arifi, a number of Undersecretaries of Ministry of Health and health leaders, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Salam Hospital, Mr. Abdul Mohsen bin Muhammad Al-Othman.His Royal Highness took a tour during which he was briefed on medical services provided and the hospital advanced technologies. After that, His Royal Highness went to the ceremony hall, where Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Salam Hospital, Mr. Abdul Mohsen bin Muhammad Al-Othman, delivered a speech in which he explained goals and mission of the hospital, from which it was operated according to highest international standards as a model among private hospitals in the Kingdom, in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. Then, His Royal Highness inaugurated the hospital, which has a bed capacity of 500 beds, The Director General of Health Affairs in the Eastern Region, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Arifi, gave a speech in which he praised the great and unlimited support given by the wise leadership - may Allah support them - to the health sector, so that the level of health services in our country became a competitor to highest international levels, indicating that the inauguration of Al-Salam Hospital in Al-Khobar by His Royal Highness the Emir of the Eastern Region reflects the keenness, interest and support of His Royal Highness for development projects in the region, including health projects It is noteworthy that this inauguration reflects the great importance that Ministry of Health pays to the essential role that it hopes private health sector institutions will contribute to providing highest levels of health care in the Kingdom, in order to achieve goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and strategic goals of the health sector transformation program, so that we may reach, upon Allah wills, a full and healthy life through Facilitating access to health services and improving their quality. His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef and His Excellency Deputy Minister of Health, Eng. Abdulaziz Al-Rumaih, also witnessed the signing ceremony of the agreement to resume work on Al-Khobar Central Hospital project, signed by Dr. Ibrahim Al-Tariri and Eng. Abdulaziz Al-Afaleq, with a bed capacity of 500 beds. After that, His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Health made an inspection tour of the Dammam Medical Complex. Where he reviewed the medical services and health care provided, and His Excellency met with a number of patients and beneficiaries from the citizens, and listened to their observations and views on the services provided. At the end of the visit, His Excellency extended his thanks and appreciation to His Highness, the Emir of the Eastern Province, for his continuous support and interest in developing the health sector in the region. He also thanked the workers in health facilities, appreciating their efforts and urging them to give more to improve the health services provided.
