In the past 10 months, cardiologists in Qassim region were able to perform open-heart surgeries exceeding 300 operations, which contributed in saving patients’ lives, all of which were successful, Praises be to Allah. Qassim Health Cluster (QHC) said that Prince Sultan Cardiac Center for Cardiac Medicine and Surgery (PSCC) in Qassim region conducted (331) open heart operations successfully during the period (from January to October), at a rate of 33 operations per month. QHC revealed that open heart operations for the elderly amounted to 138 out of the total number of performed operations, while open heart operations for children and young people amounted to 193 surgeries. It is worth noting that Prince Sultan Center for Cardiac Medicine and Surgery in Qassim received 41,598 patients from inside and outside governorates of Qassim region, during the period from January to October of this year 2022.
