According to Makkah Health Cluster, a medical team at the Cardiac Center of King Abdullah Medical City- Makkah, managed to save 3 patients suffering from aortic dissection. They were received within 24 hours from three cities, Al-Baha, Taif and Jeddah, via the City’s hotline service.
After due medical and radiological examinations, the three cases were diagnosed with aortic dissection, and during an emergency surgical intervention, the aortic dissection was repaired and the aortic valve was replaced. The surgery was crowned with success; all praise is due to Allah.
It is noteworthy that the Cardiac Center, during the first half of the month of Dhu al-Hijja, has conducted 86 heart surgeries and 803 cardiac catheterization procedures.
