By Allah’s Grace, Hafr Al-Batin Central Hospital, represented by the Cardiac Catheterization Unit, has performed 39 successful cardiac catheterizations last July, according to Hafr Al-Batin Health Affairs.
It pointed out that the hospital served 7 cases of heart attacks, performed advanced cardiac catheterization for a patient suffering from chronic blockage of the coronary arteries using CTO technique, as well as 3 catheterizations for patients suffering from coronary artery disease, by imaging of the internal artery using intravascular ultrasound (IVUS). The number of diagnostic cases reached 26 cases, it added.
On the other hand, during the past year, the hospital’s cardiac catheterization unit has served 237 beneficiaries. Also, the hospital has served 150 emergencies, 80 diagnostic and therapeutic cases, implanted 4 regulator/detonators and 7 electrocardiogram procedures, during the same period.
