Al-Jalajel Inspects East Arafat Hospital and Security Forces Hospital in Makkah and the Holy Sites

​​​​His Excellency the Minister of Health, Eng. Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel, has continued his inspection tours to the health system in Makkah and the holy sites. He has visited today (Thursday) East Arafat Hospital, the Security Forces Hospital, and headquarters of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA).

Al-Jalajel began his tour by visiting the Security Forces Hospital in Makkah; where he got briefed on work progress in a number of the hospital’s departments, including emergency department, and the blood donation campaign implemented by the hospital. He has lauded the great coordination between the health facilities to serve the pilgrims.

Also, his excellency has visited SRCA headquarters in Makkah; where he got briefed on work progress, readiness of its operating room, and its private ambulances fleet. His Excellency has commended the efforts made by SRCA to serve patients and the injured among pilgrims, and its high coordination and cooperation with MOH’s facilities; with a view to providing the best health services to patients and the injured among pilgrims. Besides, he has inspected the departments of East Arafat Hospital, and got briefed on work progress there. The hospital has been equipped with 236 beds, in addition to 33 isolation rooms, two operating rooms, a dialysis department, and an endoscopy department.

It is noted that MOH has equipped the emergency department of East Arafat Hospital with beds for isolation, CPR, and heat strokes, in addition to enhancing the laboratory with devices to conduct all necessary medical tests and examinations.
