By Allah’s Grace, a medical team at the Ear, Nose and Throat Department at King Khaled Hospital in Najran succeeded in implanting a cochlear implant in the ears of a 4-year-old child who was suffering from hearing loss, according to Najran Health Affairs.
After due necessary examinations for the child, the cochlear implant was performed in both ears and the initial response test was successfully completed. After receiving the necessary inpatient hospital care, the child left the hospital in good health without any complications.
It is noteworthy that over the past year, the hospital has performed 5,831 successful surgeries over the past year.
