07 June 2022

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has announced the readiness of affiliated health facilities in Madinah, and the completion of all arrangements to provide preventive, therapeutic, and emergency health services for pilgrims during this year’s hajj season, since they entered the Kingdom across land or air ports, passing through the main roads to and from Madinah and at their places of residence, in addition to Prophet's Mosque squares. MOH has earlier mobilized all its human and technical capabilities, enhanced with medical equipment through 19 hospitals and specialized healthcare centers.

Furthermore, MOH has earlier equipped the seasonal healthcare centers in the central region with cutting-edge therapeutic, preventive, and emergency devices, examination beds, in addition to qualified workforce. It has, also, equipped two health monitoring centers at Madinah entry points: Prince Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Airport in Madinah and Prince Abdul Mohsen bin Abdulaziz Airport in Yanbu.
“Various sites have been enhanced with ambulances to implement the emergency, crisis, and rapid intervention plan for dealing with cases and referring them to health facilities,” stated MOH, highlighting that ambulatory healthcare service centers on the main roads leading to Madinah have been equipped, in coordination with concerned authorities. Besides, medical devices, medications, medical supplies, and vaccines have been secured for seasonal and permanent centers in the central region, around pilgrims' residences, outlets, and on the main roads leading to Madinah, in addition to providing health awareness means, such as screens and awareness posters and brochures. MOH has also provided laboratory requirements and supplies in sufficient quantities, and followed up their storage methods, as well as enhancing the central blood bank and peripheral blood banks with blood units and products.
