According to Jeddah Health Affairs, the interventional radiology team of King Fahd Hospital has successfully performed 30 cerebral catheters within a month; thus setting a world record, as the catheter takes only three minutes from its beginning to artery opening.
After due examination and diagnosis, the patient is referred from emergency department to catheterization room, and registered with the device technical specialists. Then, the patient is referred to the catheter unit, which consists of a bed, a radiology equipment, and a monitor, and controlled by technical specialists.
