According to Taif Health Affairs, over the first quarter of this year, the Cardiac Catheterization Unit of King Abdulaziz Specialist Hospital (KASH) has performed 177 catheterizations and three open-heart surgeries.
It is noted that the Cardiac Catheterization Unit features a number of distinguished physicians in heart diseases and surgery, and is enhanced with cutting-edge equipment. The center provides integrated, high-quality medical services for cardiac patients, and contributes to reducing the problem of referring patients to hospitals outside the governorate.
Also, the center annually serves more than 12,000 outpatients in various specialties, including: internal cardiology, pediatrics, cardiac surgery, ultrasound, voltammetry, and ECG clinics.
