During the past year, Eastern Health Affairs has launched 162 blood donation campaigns for 10,253 female and male donors. In addition, 5,599 donors were received at the blood bank, bringing the total to 15,852 donors. According to the Affairs, the laboratory features a number of specialists, as well as technical and consulting staff.
It is noteworthy that the Regional Blood Bank- Eastern Region has obtained Ehsan Award for excellence in 2020. It has also recently obtained the accreditation certificate by the Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI).
