Some COVID-19 Mutations More Dangerous for Teenagers, MOH Says

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has underlined that some COVID-19 mutations have become more dangerous for 12-18 age group, calling on them to get vaccinated to protect themselves against the virus complications. Studies have proven that COVID-19 vaccine is safe and effective for this age group.

According to MOH's latest statistics, 1,534 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in the Kingdom over the past 24 hours; thus bringing the total number to 489,126 confirmed cases, including 12,174 active cases and 1,389 critical cases.

In addition, 1,487 new recoveries have been recorded, bringing the total number to 469,120 recoveries. Also, 13 new deaths have been reported; bringing the total deaths to 7,832, May Allah bestow His mercy upon them. 

MOH has also advised everyone to contact 937-Service Center for any consultation and inquiries around the clock, obtaining reliable health information and services, as well as knowing the latest development of COVID-19.
