The Regional Poison Control Center in the Eastern region, over the past two years, has conducted 385,608 laboratory tests and 86,135 sample analyses. The center has provided its services to several beneficiaries including public and private hospitals, government agencies, and other bodies and organizations. It also provided over 2,521 emergency counseling services, as well as sample analysis for emergency cases within a period of less at a rate of 99.5%, and training of 339 persons.
It is noteworthy that the center has obtained the accreditation of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) for forensic drug testing (FDT), and for medical diagnostic tests, as well as ISO 9001 certification.
