MOH: Coronavirus Impact Doubles among the Elderly and People with Chronic Diseases

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has stated the effects of COVID-91 are multiplying among the elderly and those with chronic diseases, pointing out that immunization is the most important step to protect them and to reduce the risk of infection.

According to MOH's latest statistics, 1,389 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the Kingdom in the past 24 hours; thus bringing the total number to 443,460 confirmed cases, including 9,593 active cases and 1,348 critical cases.

In addition, 912 new recoveries have been recorded, bringing the total number to 426,589 recoveries. Also, 14 new deaths have been reported; bringing the total deaths to 7,278, May Allah bestow His mercy upon them. Moreover, 89,182 new Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests for COVID-19 have been conducted in the Kingdom's laboratories.

MOH has also advised everyone to contact 937-Service Center for any consultation and inquiries around the clock, obtaining reliable health information and services, as well as knowing the latest development of COVID-19.
