According to Al-Jouf Health Affairs, over the past months, the Cancer Center has provided its service to 900 beneficiaries through outpatient clinics and chemotherapy sessions.
It added that 380 cases were seen at the surgical oncology clinic, 119 at the internist oncology clinic, and 80 cases at the hematology clinic. The center also performed 320 chemotherapy sessions, served 76 inpatients, conducted 75 surgeries, including a number of qualitative surgeries for the first time in the region. They totaled 40 surgeries, including 30 cases of thyroidectomy, 5 cases of the parathyroid gland, and 5 cases of mastectomy, as well as 35 ultrasound-guided biopsies.
It is to be noted that the center features 22 inpatient rooms, a chemotherapy preparation unit, another unit for administering chemotherapy, a room for family meetings, and a room for communication skills.
