MOH: Gatherings and Non-Compliance with Precautions Increase COVID-19 Infection Rates

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has highlighted that gatherings and non-compliance with precautionary measures increase the number of infections with Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). Hence, MOH has underlined the importance of adhering to such precautionary measures, including wearing face-masks, maintaining physical distance, sterilizing hands, as well as avoiding shaking hands; to stop the spread of the virus for the health and safety of everyone.

According to MOH, 502 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the Kingdom; thus bringing the total number to 387,794 confirmed cases, including 4,593 active cases and 635 critical cases.

In addition, 355 new recoveries have been recorded, bringing the total number to 376,558 recoveries. Also, 6 new deaths have been reported; bringing the total deaths to 6,643, May Allah bestow His mercy upon them. Moreover, 46,328 new Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests for COVID-19 have been conducted in the Kingdom's laboratories.

MOH has also advised everyone to contact 937-Service Center for any consultation and inquiries around the clock, obtaining reliable health information and services, as well as knowing the latest development of COVID-19.
