The medical team of the Bariatric Surgery Center in Al-Jouf has recently performed 48 sleeve gastrectomy and gastric bypass surgeries to treat obesity without complications, thanks Allah.
According to Al-Jouf Health Affairs, the surgeries were performed through the temporary assistance program by attracting a number of competencies in the field. The center features several support specialties such as clinical nutrition, interventional radiology, endoscopy, endocrinology and heart unit, and a breathing device, as well as a psychologist and psychiatrist. Obese and overweight patients are referred to the center through coordination with hospitals’ outpatient clinics, it added.
