Riyadh: Over 500 Beneficiaries of Virtual Training Courses

​Riyadh Health affairs, over the last July and August, has carried out a number of online training courses, benefiting over 500 medical, nursing and technical staff. The training programs included a training course on the comprehensive counseling initiative titled “innovative psychiatric interviewing”, targeting doctors at healthcare centers outside Riyadh city, with the attendance of 100 doctors.​

Also, the Affairs has organized 5 training courses on the implementation mechanism of the healthcare programs for the elderly and osteoporosis control program. The first course targeted doctors and nursing staff in the healthcare centers and program coordinators in 8 governorates except for Riyadh, benefiting 57 doctors, nurses, and administrators. The second course targeted doctors, nursing staff, and program coordinators in 8 governorates with the exception of Riyadh, benefiting 52 doctors, nurses, and administrators. The third course targeted doctors and nurses at the healthcare centers, and program coordinators in 5 governorates outside the city of Riyadh, benefiting 85 doctors, nurses and administrators.
  
The fourth courses benefited 43 doctors and nursing staff at healthcare centers, and program coordinators in 6 governorates except for Riyadh. The last training course targeted doctors and nursing staff at healthcare centers and program coordinators in 4 governorates except for Riyadh, benefiting 49 medical, nursing, and administrative staff. 

According to the Affairs, two training courses were organized recently on the family medicine approach and early detection mechanism. The first one targeted doctors and nursing staff at healthcare centers in 6 governorates outside Riyadh, benefiting 41 doctors and nurses. The second course targeted doctors and nurses at healthcare centers in 6 governorates except for Riyadh, benefiting 100 doctors, nurses, and employees. 

It pointed out that these courses aimed at improving the efficiency of health practitioners, technicians and administrators at health facilities. They have been carried out through an integrated electronic environment to ensure optimal investment in human resources and to increase the productivity of the health sector.
