Jeddah: 2,700 Beneficiaries of Virtual Clinics at King Abdullah Medical Complex

In the context of its COVID-19 preventive measures, King Abdullah Medical Complex, over the past three months, has activated the virtual clinics initiative, benefiting 2,700 patients. 


The initiative included the following clinics: heart diseases, general surgery, ENT, brain and nerves, and specialized clinics for orthopedics, dermatology, hematology, urology, endocrinology, obstetrics and gynecology, neonatal care and psychiatric diseases. They also included diseases of digestive system, lung, internal medicine, kidneys, eyes, as well as dentistry, anti-smoking, pharmaceutical consultation and nutrition clinic. 

After being notified with his appointment through a text message, a patient can have a direct contact with his treating doctor who phones him to check on his health and to advise him on receiving the necessary service. Then, the doctor keeps on following up the patient, gives him an appointment at the virtual clinics to provide him with the necessary treatment and answering his inquires through 46 clinics.
