According to Riyadh Health Affairs, nephrology clinics have been activated in 6 hospitals as part of Mawid program. The hospitals are: Al-Quway'iyah Hospital, Wadi Ad Dawasir Hospital, Dhurma Hospital, Al-Aflaj Hospital and Ad Dawadimi General Hospital. Also, the work is underway to construct a new kidney unit in Al-Aflaj Hospital with a bed capacity larger than the current unit, and a kidney unit has been constructed in Al-Hareeq Hospital pending supplying them with equipment and personnel.
Also, a nephrology unit has been completed in Shaqra General Hospital with a capacity of 30 beds instead of the current 7 beds capacity and the work is underway to secure the equipment and medical staff, the Affairs added. It pointed out that, during the past year, 1441H., Ruwaydah Al-Ard Hospital, Hotat bani Sudair Hospital and Remah Hospital have been enhanced with kidney consultants.
