As part of the awareness and preventive activities launched by the Ministry of Health (MOH) to fight the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), Jazan Health Affairs has carried out an intensive awareness-raising campaign at the commercial centers in the region. 40 volunteers along with the heroes for health have participated in the campaign to raise awareness among community members and to educate shoppers on methods of preventing the spread of COVID-19. The awareness-raising activities included checking the temperature of shoppers and workers, stressing the importance of adhering to the preventative measures to curb the spread of the virus. The measures included practicing social distancing, wearing medical or cloth face mask, avoiding hand asking, not touching surfaces, as well as showing them how to wash and sanitize hands in the proper way. Also, different awareness-raising posters in different languages have been distributed around to ensure that the information is delivered to all segments of society.
