Over 33,000 Visual Triage Procedures by Samtah General Hospital

​​Samtah General Hospital has continued its awareness-raising and preventive efforts to reduce the spread of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and to provide the health services for all outpatients in the southern sector, Jazan region. The hospital has taken a set of strict precautionary and preventive measures, including intensifying the visual triage for patients, visitors and employees around the clock and organizing the hospital’s entry/exit points to ensure that the triage is progressing well. The number of visual triage procedures in the hospital, from the beginning of Mach up to the end of May, has amounted to 33,000. The procedure has contributed to ensuring the safety of patients and visitors and preventing the spread of respiratory diseases.


Also, the hospital has allocated a special track to deal with the suspected COVID-19 cases, as well as a triage room operated by well-trained medical staff to deal with cases infected with COVID-19 and communicable diseases. In this regard, Jazan Health Affairs has trained 545 hospital employees on basic infection control skills.
