The Ministry of Health (MOH), in collaboration with the Toxicology General Department, has launched an awareness-raising event on household toxins at the Social Nursery in Riyadh. The event aims to raise the awareness of Nursery's children on the household toxins and helping them to differentiate between toxic and non-toxic substances, using simple teaching aids.
It is noteworthy that the Department undertakes several tasks, including: telephone counseling service on poisoning cases via (937) service center and screening of biological and non-biological samples for chemical and pharmaceutical poisoning cases. Also, the Department has published a book on toxins, which is considered an important reference for emergency doctors.
