At the start of its program to rehabilitate staff health clinics at 15 general and specialized hospitals, Riyadh Health Affairs has paid field visits to a number of region's hospital with a capacity of 200 beds or more, in order to monitor these clinics and look for means to activate them for providing occupational health services to health practitioners. These clinics are renamed «occupational health clinics».
The Affairs' Environmental and Occupational Health Department has developed a program that includes conducting a series of training courses that includes conducting a series of training courses in hospitals to help clinics staff activating them and enhancing their output as one of the most important mechanisms to prevent occupational hazards in hospitals.
