The Ministry of Health (MOH) has provided a number of tips for fasting persons to avoid headaches during Ramadan.

In an infographic published on its twitter page within its awareness campaign: «Healthy Fasting», MOH has highlighted the importance of avoiding mental and physical stress during fasting period, adopting a healthy diet, having adequate fluid intake, and getting adequate sleep, in addition to regular exercise.

Within the same vein, MOH has underlined that smokers can avoid headaches by gradually reducing the use of tobacco and its derivatives, such as cigarettes and others, meanwhile warning that sudden cessation of caffeine consumption and cigarette smoking may cause headaches during fasting period.

It is worth mentioning that such awareness-raising activities come in continuation of MOH's efforts to maintain the health and safety of fasting persons, to promote health awareness, and to urge them to adopt healthy behaviors.
