Audit System Launched in Northern Regions
17 January 2019

The Ministry of Health (MOH), under the supervision of the Assistant Agency for Compliance, has held a workshop in Arar to train inspectors on self-assessment electronic audit for the first time in the northern Kingdom. The participants in the 2-day workshop were: the Health Affairs of the Northern Border, Tabuk, Al-Jouf, Al-Qurayyat and Hail.

It is noteworthy that MOH has recently launched the self-assessment system, which includes a list of health standards to be filled in electronically by health facilities; thus raising awareness and transparency in the private health sector.

MOH has announced completion of self-assessment for more than 8,100 health facilities across the Kingdom by up to 85% during the first assessment period, including hospitals, medical complexes and private pharmacies. The audit system is designed to enable MOH's compliance team to verify the accuracy of the self-assessment performed by the facility and to measure its compliance with these standards.
