The Ministry of Health (MOH) has started today (Wednesday) an awareness campaign in conjunction with the School Screening Program launched yesterday. The program comes as part of MOH's endeavors to enhance students' health in collaboration with the Ministry of Education. The campaign, to be implemented through MOH's social media pages, features a number of awareness infographics and videos about the importance of medical examination for students including: medical history, dental examination, visual acuity test, smoking detection, early detection of depression, detection of malnutrition and scoliosis in intermediate students. Also, the awareness campaign covers the objectives of student exploratory examination program including early detection of diseases, creating a database, following up cases and health awareness.
It is noteworthy that this campaign comes as part of MOH's efforts to maintain the health and safety of all members of the community, to promote healthy lifestyles and to alleviate the burden of disease in line with health system's initiatives under the National Transformation Program and Saudi Vision 2030.
