Intravenous Solutions and Feeding Unit Inaugurated at Prince Mutaib bin Abdulaziz Hospital- Sakaka

According Al-Jouf Health Affairs, Intravenous Solutions and Feeding Unit was inaugurated at Prince Mutaib bin Abdulaziz Hospital- Sakaka. The new unit comes as a part of the developmental works to improve health services in the region in general; as it aims to boost service and patients’ safety by using a device for mixing the intravenous solutions.
 
The Health Affairs said that the unit will prepare intravenous solutions for inpatients with critical conditions, in a scientific way and sterile environment, in well-equipped laboratories to prepare contamination-free and infection-proof solutions. During the first stage, the unit will provide its services to the medical departments within the hospital and will cover the needs of Maternity and Children Hospital in regard to premature babies.
 
It is noted that Prince Mutaib bin Abdulaziz Hospital is the central and reference hospital for Al-Jouf's hospitals with a capacity of 300 beds. Last year (1438H.), the hospital conducted 3,135 operations.
