Dammam Medical Complex Saves Lives of 5 Patients with Sudden Brain Hemorrhage
10 April 2017
A specialized medical team at the Dammam Medical Complex has managed to save the lives of five patients with cerebral venous distention that caused hemorrhage under cerebral meninges. This matter required rapid intervention and catheterization procedures were successful performed to the patients, May Allah be praised.

The Eastern Region Health Affairs General Directorate highlighted that the complex had received the patients after suffering a sudden brain hemorrhage, posing a threat to their lives. The x-rays showed the presence of cystic extensions in specific areas of the cerebral vascular wall, and their explosion caused hemorrhage. Therefore, the medical team handled those extensions and fixed metal screws to close these extensions and prevent the hemorrhage again.

Within the same vein, the Eastern Region Health Affairs General directorate pointed out that that Dammam Medical Complex started brain catheterization about 8 months ago, which is used to repair and treat vascular anomalies and to treat the modern strokes that hit the patient in less than 6 hours. This is to be conducted by pulling the stroke mechanically; the matter which contributed to saving the patient's life, May Allah be praised. The complex is also keen to provide distinguished medical services by therapeutic techniques and modern equipment, used by highly qualified medical and nursing staff, in order to provide the best health services to beneficiaries.
