The 4th International E-Health Conference, organized by the Ministry of Health (MOH) in collaboration with the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS), started today morning at Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh. The conference addresses e-health strategies in the MOH and means to maintain their pioneering role at international level for providing the best care services at the present and in the future, through automation of the health services.
On the sidelines of the conference, a number of workshops will be held with the participation of a host of specialists in the field of health information technology, from inside the Kingdom and abroad, from Canada, Germany and America. In addition to that, a number of work papers will be presented including a paper about transformation in the health care field and health and information technology, as well as a paper entitled "Enabling Financial Sustainability". Also, they discussed a paper on automating records for millions of patients in the health care system.
