A Committee Formed to Inspect the Performance and Medical and Research Activity at KKESH

Stemming from the Ministry of Health’s (MOH) approach to and keen interest in following up and inspecting all its health facilities activities and programs regularly, in line with the scientific and administrative procedures and globally adopted medical norms, His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Muhammad bin Ali Alhayaza, has issued a resolution to form a committee to inspect the performance and medical and research activity at King Khalid Eye Specialist Hospital (KKESH). The committee includes in its membership representatives of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS), Saudi Ophthalmology Society (SOS), and Prince Sultan Military Medical City (PSMMC) in Riyadh. This resolution comes as part of the MOH’s keenness to improve its health services provided to citizens in such a manner that achieves their aspirations and meets their healthcare needs.
 
The Committee will inspect the operation of King Khalid Eye Specialist Hospital in terms of all aspects relating to patient services, such as operations, outpatient clinics, waiting lists, and role of the various committees; such as Morbidity Committee, Staff Qualification Assessment and Accreditation Committee, and Privilege Committee. The aforementioned Committee will also inspect the activity of the Specialized Laboratories and Research Center, in addition to all other subsequent work areas in accordance with the international adopted criterions.
 
It is worth mentioning that the aforementioned decision comes out of the MOH’s belief in the importance of providing integrated health services with a high level of quality and excellence on an ongoing basis at health facilities.
