MOH: 314395 Diseased Pilgrims Visited the Health Facilities in the Makkah and Madinah

The MOH hospitals in the Holy Capital (Makkah) and the Holy Sites conducted 277 cardiac catheterizations, 903 dialysis sessions, 50 endoscopic operations, 11 open-heart surgeries, and 10 deliveries, besides addressing 144 heat exhaustion cases during the period from 1/12/1435H, up to Sunday afternoon, 11/12/1435H.  This comes as part of the advanced health services and the quality programs introduced by the Ministry of Health (MOH) to save patients' lives with its advanced programs meant to provide healthcare for the pilgrims.
 
MOH revealed that 314395 diseased pilgrims visited the health facilities in the Makkah and Madinah during this period. These hospitals provided their curative services for 96410 patients, while 217985 patients benefited from the primary healthcare services in the health centers during these days.
 
Meanwhile, the daily statement issued by the MOH indicated that the outpatient clinics of hospitals provided their services for 80825 patients, while 15585 patients benefited from the ambulatory services, 2563 were admitted to the health facilities of Makkah and Madinah during these days. In the same time, 1853 patients have been discharged from the hospitals, bringing the number of the inpatients in the MOH Health facilities till yesterday, Friday, to 647 cases.
