Dr. Mo'zin: 800 Physicians, Nurses and Pharmacists Distributed to 46 Health Centers in Arafat to Serve Pilgrims

The Director of the Health Centers in Arafat and the walkway therein, Dr. Iyad Abdullah Mo'zin, said that the Ministry of Health (MOH) has paid great attention during this Hajj season to the issue of infection control, pointing out that lectures were given to the workers in the health centers in Arafat and the pilgrims about the common diseases and the ways of protection against them.
 
He noted that the health centers in Arafat and the walkway include 4 to 6 clinics each, adding that the number of the workers in each health center ranges between 10 and 14 persons in different specialties. In addition, he added that these centers also contain 2 care rooms and 2 bandage rooms, affirming the readiness of these centers to provide preventive and therapeutic services for pilgrims.
 
Within the same vein, he pointed out that the number of the workforce of these centers amounts to 800 members, including physicians, nurses, pharmacists and technicians distributed to 46 healthcare centers in Arafat, besides 6 healthcare centers distributed alongside the walkaway to Mina.
 
In a similar fashion, he indicated that all the requirements related to infection control were met, including sterilization devices necessary to sterilize the used tools, besides providing surgical tools to be used only once, in addition to obliging all the workers in the healthcare centers and the walkway to apply all the required measures to reduce spread of the infection.
