His Excellency the Vice Minister of Health for Planning and Development, Dr. Muhammad Khoshaim, met today with the Health Minister of the German State of Hamburg and the accompanying delegation. During the meeting, they have discussed the way to enhance the joint cooperation in the health domain between both countries; in order to benefit from the experiences of the friendly countries.
In a press statement, Dr. Khoshaim has announced that this meeting comes on the sidelines of the German delegation’s participation in the Saudi Health Exhibition & Conference 2014. He has pointed out that they have discussed during the meeting a number of topics, most notably the way of cooperation in the laboratories domain, as well as the expansion of talks and cooperation frameworks with German universities and hospitals.
“The meeting has touched upon the expansion of joint cooperation; in terms of the support and assistance in all areas, especially in the health domain, in addition to the treatment of Saudi patients in German hospitals, and sending Saudi physicians to Germany so as to get the health sub-specialties, aside from the scientific training of the Saudi medical calibers on scholarships in Germany,” said Dr. Khoshaim.
He went on adding that the Ministry of Health (MOH) seeks though these meetings to benefit from the German expertise in the medical research and other areas, as the German side has showed its willingness to participate in the medical researches on the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome- Corona virus (MERS-CoV) and the way of controlling it.
