Dr. Al-Rabeeah Stresses on Dealing Well with Patients and Paying Attention to their Demands

His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, has stressed on the importance of dealing well with patients and recipients of the services of the Ministry of Health (MOH), emphasizing on the need to adhere to the principles of transparency, honesty and credibility, as well as activating them as an approach, values and fundamentals to be followed by the Ministry.
 
“It is our duty, as MOH employees especially health practitioners, to pay attention to patient’s demands; as he is always right, and this is the basics of health work and ethics of the profession. Therefore, proceeding from the honesty entrusted to us, we must stand with the patient and work hard to meet his health needs and his services, and to provide the medical care for him,” said the Minister.
 
This came during the third periodic meeting of MOH Officials and Managers of the Health Affairs Directorates in regions and governorates, which held under the chairmanship of His Excellency the Minister of Health at the Meeting Hall of the Ministry.
 
Within the same vein, the Minister has stressed on the importance of activating the MOH slogan: “Patient First” and implementing such a slogan in all MOH sectors and facilities, underlying the need to focus on quality programs, patient’s safety, and medicine and caring for patients' satisfaction and services.
 
Moreover, Dr. Al-Rabeeah has urged everyone to continue pursuing the principle of institutional team work, as well as planting the culture of quality among all workers in the Ministry and its facilities; in a manner that contributes positively to the development of health services and the promotion of performance levels at MOH facilities.
 
During the meeting, a number of issues related to improving the performance at health facilities and developing their services provided for citizens, have been discussed. Also, the attendants have reviewed the work progress in the qualitative service programs implemented by the Ministry, and looked over the health projects currently implemented, and what have been achieved so far, in addition to reviewing the updates of Coronavirus, regionally and internationally, and the efforts exerted to confront it and limit its outbreak.
The meeting was attended by the two Vice Ministers, Deputy Ministers, General Directors and Managers of the Health Affairs Directorates in regions and governorates.
