Prince Muqrin Opens Prince Mohammed bin Abdul-Aziz Hospital on Behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques

Under the auspices of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz, May Allah protect him, and on behalf of His Majesty, His Royal Highness Prince Muqrin bin Abdul-Aziz, the Second Deputy Prime Minister, the Councilor and Special Envoy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, opens Prince Mohammed bin Abdul-Aziz Hospital in Riyadh on Sunday evening.
 
His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Rabeeah extended in person and on behalf of the health sectors staff the deepest thanks and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, his royal highness the Heir Apparent, and the Second Deputy Prime Minister for their ongoing support for the health sector, and their permanent interest in providing the health care means to our dear citizens.
 
He went on to add that Prince Mohammed bin Abdul-Aziz Hospital was established and equipped at 500-bed capacity, according to the best global designs, and when implementing it, the highest quality measures were considered. The building is made up of 5 stories including the Operations Department comprising 15 digital operating rooms; of which there are 10 main rooms and 4 one-day surgery rooms, and one operation room for emergency. Also, there is the X-ray Department which includes the modern diagnostic radiology devices such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Mammography (Mammo), and CT scan, among others of devices. Further, there is the Ambulance and Emergency Department comprising 63 beds, in addition to laboratories, blood banks, intensive care units, and burn treatment units which include 102 beds. And it is one of the largest emergency departments in the region. Additionally, there are the outpatient clinics numbering 85 ones, and dialysis units made up of 52 chairs, as well as a self-contained department for rehabilitation and physical therapy.
 
Hence, Prince Mohammed bin Abdul-Aziz stands out as a new medical edifice providing the health care services to the capital's residents in all medical specialties. It is also a highly significant addition to the health care services system for Riyadh's inhabitants. This is through the integration of its equipment which is the latest of its kind in the world.
 
The hospital comprises 500 beds; the cost of its establishment exceeded SR 465 million. It includes 15 surgical operation rooms, of which there are 10 rooms equipped with the digital system, 4 one-day surgery rooms, and a room for emergency operations.
 
The hospital's capacity to receive hospitalized intensive care cases amounts to 102 beds, in addition to 62 beds for emergency cases, more than 50 beds for dialysis cases, and 16 beds for burn cases.
Also, the hospital includes a laboratory equipped with the latest technologies to conduct all types of medical analyses, in addition to an integrated department for x-ray comprising the latest technologies of conducting CT scan and Ultrasound, integrated departments for supportive services such as infection combat departments and technical services. 
 
The hospital opens its doors for the patients through highly equipped outpatient clinics, of which there are Internal Medicine clinic, cardiovascular diseases clinic, Orthopedics clinic, Chest diseases clinic, digestive system diseases clinic, urology clinic,   Dermatology clinic, kidney diseases clinic.
 
Prince Mohammed bin Abdul-Aziz hospital, in the eastern part of Riyadh, is remarkable for the integration of its equipment to the point of hosting and organizing the training events, workshops, and medical conferences. It is expected to benefit a huge number of medical cadres and health professions staff in Riyadh; within the framework of the directives of the Ministry of Health (MOH) to capitalize on the hospital's capabilities in the training, awareness, and community service field.
 
For his part, his Excellency the Deputy Minister for Health Affairs, Dr. Mansour Al- Howasi extended his deepest thanks and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, May Allah protect him, on the occasion of his auspices of opening Prince Mohammed bin Abdul-Aziz hospital in Riyadh tomorrow Sunday 28/4/2013. Dr. Al-Howasi further affirmed that the auspices of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, May Allah protect him, for opening the hospital materializes his ongoing dedication and support to the health sector, and his constant interest in providing the health care means for citizens.
 
He went on adding that Prince Mohammed bin Abdul-Aziz hospital is a remarkable addition to the qualitative and quantitative development in the health facilities related the Ministry of Health (MOH) which cope with the approach the MOH adopts in terms of providing health services with the highest global quality measures, which boost the patient's service and care, interest in them, and their health and their safety, out of the MOH's theme "Patient First".
 
Dr. Al-Howasi said, “Prince Mohammed bin Abdul-Aziz hospital is a remarkable medical edifice in Riyadh, thanks to what it enjoys in terms of high-quality, developed, and modern medical technologies and equipment greatly contributing to boosting the remarkable medical care for patients, in addition to providing a several curative services.”
 
He further pointed out that the Ministry of Health (MOH) will not spare an effort to secure all the hospital's needs; in order to be able to serve its patients properly. This is in line with the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, his royal highness Heir Apparent, his royal highness the Second Deputy Prime Minister, May Allah protect them, and meeting the citizens' health needs. He went on to point out that the hospital poses a modern model for the MOH's hospitals; it includes one of the biggest emergency departments, and 102 intensive care beds.
 
His Excellency the Deputy Minister for Health Affairs noted that the Ministry of Health (MOH) works according to national measures to guarantee providing the beds going with the population growth the Kingdom witnesses. Therefore, Prince Mohammed bin Abdul-Aziz is going to serve a big segment of Riyadh's inhabitants, as it has 500-bed capacity.
 
He concluded his statement praying Allah, the Almighty, to keep for this country its leaders and nation; and to perpetuate the grace of security and stability.
 
For his part, his Excellency the Deputy Minister for Planning and Development, Dr. Mohammed Khushaim, extended thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz, his royal highness the Heir Apparent, Prince Salman bin Abdul-Aziz, and the Second Deputy Prime Minister; his royal highness Prince Muqrin bin Abdul-Aziz, May Allah protect them. This is on the occasion of the auspices of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for opening Prince Mohammed bin Abdul-Aziz hospital on next Sunday, 28/4/20013. He further lauded their wholehearted support which the health services enjoy in order to provide the inclusive health care means for citizens.
 
In the meantime, Dr. Mohammed Khushaim affirmed that the huge funds of the health services embody the keenness of the leadership and its ongoing interest in developing the health services in the entire Kingdom's regions. He went on to point out that such auspices comes within the framework of the continuous care and boundless support which the Ministry of Health enjoys through the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz, his royal highness the Heir Apparent, and his royal highness the Second Deputy Prime Minister, May Allah protect them. He also made clear that is a quantum leap in terms of the curative, preventive health services which the MOH presents for the residents and citizens in all the Kingdom's regions and governorates, as it is to add more beds and health services at its four levels.
He further pointed out that the Ministry of Health (MOH) is currently witnessing developmental boom with the aim of advancing the health service level and upgrading it in way that achieves our governors' aspirations, May Allah protect them, delivers the citizens' and patients' desires, and gain their satisfaction. Thus, the MOH launched its ten year health strategic plan 1430/1440, and the National Project for the Integrated and Inclusive Healthcare which aims at providing health care and  distributing the health facilities in a manner that achieves justice and inclusiveness in terms of health services distribution, their accessibility, and their affordability.

The Under-secretary Minister for Curative Services, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Hemeidi lauded the auspices of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud, May Allah protect him, for opening Prince Mohammed bin Abdul-Aziz hospital.
 
On press release, Dr. Al-Hemeidi stated that such auspices is an accolade to all the MOH's staff, and it is an extension to the ongoing royal auspices of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud, his royal highness the Heir Apparent, and his royal highness the Second Deputy Prime Minister, May Allah protect them, for the health sector in the humanity Kingdom. And it is also push to the MOH's staff to exert more giving and effort; in order to serve those benefitting from the services of the Ministry of Health.
